A month on from the close of the pool season, the team managing seven pools across Corangamite and Moyne is proudly reflecting on one of the most successful and memorable summers to date.

Across the region, the pools served as vital community spaces, drawing record numbers of visitors and providing safe, welcoming environments for people of all ages to enjoy. Strong leadership, community engagement, and the dedication of local teams helped set new benchmarks for both attendance and connection.

Throughout the 2024/25 season, the pools welcomed over 35,000 visits and supported 87 school and community group bookings, reinforcing the role these facilities play as community hubs beyond just recreational swimming.

Area Manager Ryan Holloway said the success of the season went far beyond the impressive figures.

"This past season was truly special, not just because of the strong numbers, but because of the way our local teams turned these pools into safe, vibrant spaces where the community could come together," Holloway said. "It’s a credit to the local people who showed such commitment and care. They made sure our pools were more than just places to swim — they became places where people felt they belonged, where connections were made, and where memories were made."

Community feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with 87% of patrons stating the pools helped them feel more connected to their community. More than 70 locals were employed throughout the season, with 15 new job opportunities created, further strengthening the local economy and fostering a sense of pride in community-led success.

Looking ahead, the team remains committed to expanding on these accomplishments, ensuring the pools continue to serve as vital, thriving spaces for the communities of Corangamite and Moyne for years to come.
